Dariush G. Adli
Dr. Dariush G. Adli is a partner and the head of the patent practice at Chan
Law Group. His practice is primarily focused on patent litigation
representing high technology companies in the electrical and mechanical
arts, including semiconductor, integrated circuit, computer hardware,
architecture, software, digital processing, and communications industries.
In addition, Dr. Adli's practice includes drafting infringement and validity
opinions, counseling and patent acquisition (prosecution) for select firm
clients. In recent years Dr. Adli's practice has also focused on inter-parte
reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a low
cost alternative to patent litigation.
Prior to joining Chan Law Group, Dr. Adli was an associate of Hogan &
Hartson LLP. He obtained his doctorate degree in Engineering Physics and a
bachelor degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the University of
Michigan.
Prior to practicing law, Dr. Adli was a lead engineer at Duke Electric Power
Company in Bolton, Mass. At Duke, he was a member of a research and
development team working on product design. Dr. Adli has authored and
co-authored numerous articles, which have been published in national
scientific journals, two of which have won national best paper awards.
