Konrad L. Trope
Konrad L. Trope is Of Counsel with the Chan Law Group. Mr. Trope brings over 20 years of expertise focused on intellectual property litigation, e-commerce litigation, as well as intellectual property and e-commerce transactions. He has won many cases against “cyber-pirates” and “cyber-squatters” who steal customers, content, domain names and trademarks from legitimate web site owners.
In addition, Mr. Trope handles many aspects of entertainment finance, production and distribution. Mr. Trope taught entertainment law for several years at California Western School of Law in San Diego, and has lectured on various aspects of intellectual property and entertainment law at UCLA, UCSB, California State University at Fullerton, California Institute of the Arts, Loyola Law School, and Southwestern University Law School.
Mr. Trope spends most of his time in federal court defending and prosecuting all forms of intellectual property infringement and misappropriation, as well as cyber-squatting, e-commerce and entertainment production, distribution and licensing disputes.
He has appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for Ninth Circuit, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Trope has represented clients before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as before SAG and AFTRA panel arbitrations.
